Drugs That Can Change the Course of your Multiple Sclerosis | Louisiana Healthcare Plans

These drugs that are used to treat multiple sclerosis are rather expensive and unfortunately they only work if you have type one or two of multiple sclerosis. This disease, which affects the nerves can be categorized into three types: relapsing- remitting multiple sclerosis, secondary progressive and first progressive multiple sclerosis. These drugs can only be prescribed to the patients that suffer from the first and second type of multiple sclerosis. Furthermore, only specialists are allowed to prescribe these medications to the multiple sclerosis patients. The most important thing to remember when using these drugs for multiple sclerosis is to follow the doctor’ s advice. If these drugs are taken regularly, this will limit your many disabilities that are cause by multiple sclerosis.
